A walk along the beach looking for treasure... always something interesting to be found! Not the nicest of weather, but it meant we had the beach to ourselves. Plus I guess the holiday season is coming to an end now. The last weekend before back to school for many people.
Elizabeth has another week before she starts and will be going half days to begin with. I cant help but feel a little nervous for her. I'm sure she will be absolutely fine as she's loved nursery, never wanting to miss a day to catch up with all her friends and she's so excited about going to 'big girl school'. I think its because I hated school so much myself, remembering those feelings of dread as the summer holidays come to an end! But I know its so different now and she's such a confident girl so I'm hoping she will enjoy going to school as much as she has to her little nursery.
More lovely pics as always Caroline! Loving the happy blue and yellow beach huts...good luck to your little girl in 'big girl school' Im sure she will love it!x
ReplyDeleteThanks Rebecca, I love the beach huts there - all painted the same colours. xx
DeleteMy son is dreading going back to school. And I am dreading the school run! I'm sure she'll be fine. It's so nerve wracking sending them when they are little. Just make sure you give yourself plenty to do on the first day to try and occupy your mind. I went straight home after dropping my son off on his first day and I just wept! Beautiful seaside pictures. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen. Aw bless him, it's such a long time to get out of routine isn't it. I'm not looking forward to school run either, I've been loving our lazy pj mornings this summer. I'm sure I'll be the same on her first day. xx
DeleteI love your little snapshots! She will be fine, we all worry too much, don't we?! Ada :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ada, yes that's very true! xx
DeleteJust picked my little boy up from his first day at big school ... he just loved it ... but it is difficult to prise any more information than that from him ... he too is finishing early for a whole month so I will be off out again shortly to collect his big brother in year 3 ... I'll be in and out like a yo-yo :) ... your little girl will love it too I'm sure ... and if she is excited already that's a really good sign ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteThats really great that he enjoyed it. I'm going to put Archies name down for the nursey they have there for next year, but it does mean ill be going there and back a lot for a couple of years. Yes she's really excited about going so that's good! xx
DeleteSuper photos! Love your beachcombing finds. I'm sure your daughter will enjoy going to the "big school."

ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes that feeling has really come back to me with Elizabeth starting school. I'm sure there will be here too. x
DeleteLove the beach shots and the collections, sure school will be fine it always takes everyone a few days to adjust! I have a son starting secondary school on wednesday, he tels me he's not going......not looking forward to that day then!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracey. Oh dear, I hope it all goes ok on the day, I'm sure he'll be fine after a couple of days and catching up with his friends. xx
DeleteOh my - I really must learn how to more moody pictures - yours are so fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same with my smallest one and 'yep' to half days for a wee while as well. Though the older two 'phew' any day now would be fine - I think they really are getting bored of 'being at home'
take it easy,
Nina xxx
Thank you Nina. It's a long time for them to be at home isn't it! Hope it goes ok with little one. xx
DeleteYour girl will be fine, I am sure. I was more freaked than my daughter when she started reception last year. Hope it goes well.
ReplyDeleteWhere oh WHERE are those gorgeous beach huts?? That curving row of blue and yellow...so pretty. xx
I think that's the same for me, she doesn't seem at all worried about it. The beach huts are in Felpham, they do look pretty painted all the same. xx
DeleteI love all the bits and bobs you find, you always arrange them so well! I love that bench shot. All will be well with school. Little girls just seem ready and yours will have a head start with the arty side of things! Hope you don't clock watch too much. I will be tomorrow as my girl starts high school. Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm sure she will, yes that's true. Hope it all goes ok for her at High School. xx
DeleteWow Caroline you didn't half find some treasures. I love to see how different the treasures in your part of the world are to the ones I find, I've never even seen those shells in blue before and is that the handle of an oar? The first beach hut pic is amazing, love that they're all the same happy colours.
ReplyDeleteLots of luck to Elizabeth for starting big school, I'm sure she'll enjoy it and settle into her new routine quickly.
Jo x
It was quite a good beach for finding things. I like those blue shells, they look a bit like hearts when they are open! I love those beach huts too, they are very happy colours! Thanks Jo. xx
DeleteYour pics are so gorgeous - I love the one of the shells. I know when the toddler starts 'big' school I'll be more nervous than him. Luckily still a while to go... x
ReplyDeleteLove your photographs, Caroline :)
