Yesterday morning we headed over to Brighton - my favourite place! It was forecast to rain from lunchtime so we thought we might get an hour or two before any showers. Then as soon as we arrived came huge black clouds and the biggest downpour. Luckily it only lasted a few minutes and the sun came back out. We decided to give any shopping a miss with the kids and instead walked along the seafront and the pier stopping for some chips.
Looks like a lovely day out ... glad the rain stayed away for you ... the street art and murals are amazing .. love the big fish ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Bee, We were pretty lucky with weather as it poured down on the way home too. Have a great week. x
DeleteLove Brighton too,
ReplyDeleteGlad you manage to enjoy it despite the weather.
Lovely photos!
We love Brighton too. We used to visit often but haven't been at all for the last two years - must do again soon. The second pier is looking pretty sorry for itself now - I remember talks of restoration and then somehow it caught fire - rumours abounded about an arson attack. Love the street art.

ReplyDeleteAh, Brighton - i love that place so much. I did a masters at Sussex Uni and dreamed of living in that cool seaside city but Leeds called instead. Hey ho. Great photos of the pier. x
ReplyDeleteCaroline I think I say this often... but I love your photos! I really do. They evoke pretty strong emotions in me and I often find that I say 'wow' quite a few times as I look through your posts. It may sound a bit weird but I could almost hear the noise of the waves crashing and the seagulls screeching. I love a wild and windy day at the beach. Thanks for sharing
