On Sunday I spent a lovely day out with my mum at
West Dean Gardens. We enjoyed the warm sunshine (where's that gone?!) and leisurely explored all the beautiful surroundings like the Spring garden, the Victorian glasshouses and the walled kitchen garden... and then finished with yummy cake in the cafe! Such a wonderful place and so close to us - I might have to go back with the kids in the Summer. I bet all the blooms are amazing in another month or so!
Hope your all having a good week! xx
Looks a lovely place to visit, and not too far from me either. And always good to have yummy cake too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place, I'm a bit obsessed with walled kitchen gardens. That butterfly photo is utterly superb. CJ xx

ReplyDeleteHey Caroline,
ReplyDeleteThere's something about formal gardens. Very pleasing on the eye. Even though I am rather scruffy - in myself as well as my garden - there's a part of me that yearns for straight lines and symmetry. Wonderful alium shot with the bee too!

Looks beautiful, especially in the sunshine. x
ReplyDeleteGlorious images! How wonderful it all looks, and so very quintessentially English. It's some time since I've been there but its a garden I know and love.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love the alliums especially. It sounds like a nice place to go with your mum.
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to wander sound West Dean and the sculpture park at Goodwood too. Must do so before the summer is gone!
ReplyDeleteThat long grass with buttercups and cow parsley looks lovely and inviting. And I do like your allium photos!
